AI and Your Data
Training Restriction
Converge's AI features run on Google Cloud's Vertex AI. Google Cloud's Service Specific Terms (Section 17) include an explicit Training Restriction: Google will not use your data to train or fine-tune any AI/ML models without your prior permission or instruction. This applies to all models on Vertex AI, including GA and pre-GA models.
Zero Data Retention
Converge uses Vertex AI in a configuration that achieves zero data retention. Your prompts and AI-generated responses are not stored by Google after processing. Converge does not use the Google Cloud features that would retain data, such as Grounding with Google Search, Grounding with Google Maps, or Gemini Live Session Resumption.
AI/ML Privacy Commitment
Google was the first major cloud provider to publish an AI/ML Privacy Commitment, stating that customers have the highest level of security and control over their data stored in the cloud. This commitment extends to all of Google Cloud's generative AI products, including Vertex AI. Google enforces this through robust data governance practices detailed in the Cloud Data Processing Addendum (CDPA).

Compliance
All core Firebase services comply with ISO 27001 and SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3. Additionally, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage have achieved ISO 27017 and ISO 27018 certifications.
